What kind of church is Doylestown United Methodist Church?

Although we are affiliated with the United Methodist Church, we welcome persons from all religious denominations and backgrounds into our church family. Our doors are open to all who wish to come and experience God’s unconditional love, grow in their faith, and be the hands and feet of God to those in need.

Every Sunday we offer:

Uplifting Worship Service, 9:00 am, (Sanctuary & Online)

Features uplifting Christian music, led by our live band, Sounds of Faith, which creates an upbeat and lively mood. Along with music, there is a sermon based on the scripture readings featured that Sunday. Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month.
 

Liturgical Worship Services, 10:10 am (Sanctuary & online)

Consists of responsive readings, unison prayers, scripture and some of our favorite traditional hymns,
which are enhanced by our choir, brass ensemble and pipe organ. Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month.
 

Word and Worship Service, 11:11 am, (Worship and Youth Center & Online)

Offers a relaxed worship experience that is serene and uplifting. The service is led by Power of Grace,
a coffee house style ensemble. Coffee and refreshments are served.
Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month.
 

Teen Service, Fusion, 9:00 am Worship and Youth Center

This service, for our Students, aged 7th- 12th grades, features student-led music and a message that is relate-able for teens and the challenges they face. Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month.
 

What should I wear?

All of our services welcome you as you are. However, Traditional Services tend to be more Dress Casual,
while Uplifting Services tend to be more Informal Casual.
 

What is offered for kids on Sunday?

Sunday School, 9:00 am, kids 3 yrs (Preschool) – 4th grade,

Our Sunday School is a fun, engaging, Christ-centered program offered to kids 3 yrs (Preschool) through 6th grade and has rolling admission, so you can register at anytime during the academic year. Classes are grouped by age/grade (Preschool – K,  1st-4th grades,). Our volunteer teaching staff is background checked and Safe Sanctuaries trained–and lots of fun, too.

 

Anchor, kids in 5th & 6th grade

Students meet weekly in Room 22.  The class follows the GROW curriculum which makes learning about Jesus fun and engaging. Giving kids a comprehensive understanding of the bible as they prepare to move into Youth Group in 7th grade. 
 

Kids’ Word, 11:11 Service

Kids Word is our Children’s Worship Service for ages Kindergarten through 6th grade during the 11:11 service.  Children enjoy beautiful music during the 11:11 Service and then depart for their own Children’s Service where they enjoy a bible story movie with popcorn, games and crafts. 
 

Nursery, 8:50 am – 12:15 pm every Sunday

Our nursery is staffed with two adult, background checked caregivers weekly.
Children from birth to 5 yrs are welcome during our services.
