June mission of the month

Think of how frightened someone must be to leave their home. They pack a few belongings for the arduous journey, often with children in tow, hoping a relative will take them in. A long journey begins from Afghanistan, Ukraine, or Central or South America, often involving many stops in unfamiliar areas. These are the exiles of today—people forced from their homes by war, famine, unstable governments, and the hope for a better life. We are called by Jesus to welcome the stranger and give aid to those in need—without judgment, just as He did. This is not a border issue or a political stance—it’s about helping those in need.
